The Boat Club

Anyone who goes to Nantes HAS to experience the boat. It is Nantes' answer to a skins party and it was the most surreal thing ever. As you've probably guessed the club was on a boat. Exeter people imagine cavern crossed with hole in the wall and Cardiff people imagine metros mixed with a bit of a seedy old man place. There are weirdos everywhere and the randomest music. The drinks are cheap and such a good idea at the time. Louisa and Kate in particular loved the whisky shots, and then loved vomming them up over the side just as much.

Gay Pride

There was a parade going round the whole of the centre of Nantes, it was amazing! Really loud music, floats, dancers, make shift bars and so many people!

Fete de la Musique

Every year in France they have a music festival. I wasn't sure what to expect but town was absolutely heaving with different bands, singers, djs, choirs, dancers etc on every corner along with make shift bars and food places.

Uni End Of Exams Party

We weren't going to go to this, but Kate dragged Lou and I along and I am so glad I went. The whole campus was full of people and there were lights and stages on the main steps and bars all around with music playing really loudly. The DJs were doing 3 minute sets and there were like 100 of them or something. It was so good! You would never get that at a uni in the UK.

Lisa Hunter – LEGEND

We had a goodbye Erasmus night outside the castle one night and the legend that is LISA HUNTER was there. You literally have to meet her she is hilarious. I will try and get the video of her off Doug and add it on here because although I have told a lot of you the stories I cannot do them justice. So anyway, we were all pretty merry and then we wanted to go to the boat again but because it was Tuesday it was closed. Then it was someone’s bright idea (probably mine) to continue the party at ours so we all got taxis there (When I say all it ended up being myself, Lou, Kate, Becks, Lisa and Fadi). I had promised them alcohol but all we had was blue curucao left over from St Patricks day, Calvados, a bit of tequila and a tiny bit of vodka. GAGGGG. I still went for it and made the most hideous drink ever. Lisa then vommed ALL OVER the bathroom floor and we ended up just drinking playing I have Never laughing at the hilarious stories Lisa was coming out with. None of us could move AT ALL the next day. We all spent the whole day monging in the flat literally wanting to die.
